Here is a short list of our furry friends that want to call your attic home. They will use your roof as a jungle gym practicing their acrobatics and leaping into trees from its convenient peak. Common roof rats love warm spaces and may seek refuge in your attic during cold or wet winter months. Rats and mice are very common animals in attics throughout much of the country.

Squirrels give birth twice a year in late summer and late winter and the babies take only about 8 weeks to be full grown.

Roof rats in particular are very common in attics in warmer areas and norway rats in cities. Occasionally we find chipmunks opossums birds and snakes. Mice are common in many areas as well. This matters a lot because most animals inside an attic are there to build a nest and raise baby animals.
